Aviva stadium

Also known as Lansdowne Road (for the former stadium that used to reside there) or the Dublin Arena, the Aviva Stadium is our landmark of sport here in fair Dublin City. It’s the home of Irish rugby and our countries football team, and it’s also built up many memories in its short 15 years since it was built.

Aviva Stadium isn’t just for sports fans. It has also played host to major concerts and events, welcoming global superstars and attracting crowds for unforgettable live performances. Its unique bowl-shaped design ensures that every seat offers a great view, and the acoustics provide an excellent experience for concertgoers.

Thanks to the old Lansdowne Road railway station, the stadium is incredibly easy to get to, so if you hear of a match on, you should consider giving the stadium visit.

Some of your most commonly asked questions

If travelling via Dublin Bus it takes approximately 90 minutes to get to Croke Park from the hotel. The 7A bus will drop you to Mountjoy Square which is approximately a 14 minute walk to Croke Park.  

We recommend taking public transport to Croke Park or when travelling to Dublin City to avoid high parking fees. The Dublin Bus stop is located just outside the front door and runs every 30 minutes. 

Croke Park is located on Jones’ Rd, Drumcondra, Dublin 3.

For attending GAA matches, concerts tickets must be booked in advance. The GAA Museum and stadium tours are not available when an event is on so it is recomended to pre book on their website.
